Aluminum Forging

Aluminium forging is an advanced manufacturing process of placing a heated aluminium billet into a plastic state in a forging mould, applying firm pressure to cause it to deform, and obtaining parts of the shape plastically. The low density of aluminium also plays a vital role in the forging process, allowing it to have both lightness and high strength. After plastic deformation during forging, the grain structure of aluminium alloy becomes finer, and the defects within the grains will be reduced, which gives the forging greater strength, toughness, and life. The good thermal conductivity of aluminium alloy helps achieve uniform temperature distribution during the forging process and ensures the forging quality. Compared with casting, aluminium forging can produce parts with higher density, finer grain structure and better mechanical properties. These characteristics give aluminium forgings unique competitive advantages in high-demand applications such as aircraft engine components, automotive suspension systems, and precision electronic product structural parts.
